Organically occurring in nature, these very beautiful yet durable metals are valuable and although they have been used industrially, are best known for their use in jewelry such as: bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces. Precious metals are very valuable if you view them in relationship to their size and weight. The most common precious metals used for jewelry are: silver, gold and platinum, going from the least expensive to the most expensive precious metal. They are also bought as an investment because they possess intrinsic value as well.
